Sentinel Building Systems Announces 20 years of business
Albion, NE 2/2/2007
Sentinel Buildings Systems, a steel building manufacturer in Albion, NE, and a division of GLOBAL Industries, Inc. of Grand Island, NE, announces 20 years of business today.
The company, founded by Wayne Buller in 1987 and started in his basement, was initially a broker company for another line of steel buildings. Nearly a year later, Buller went private label with his company, calling it Sentinel Building Systems.
In 1992, Sentinel began engineering, manufacturing and assembling its’ own buildings. In August of 1997, a new warehouse and manufacturing facility was built in Albion, NE, marking yet another milestone for the young and rapidly growing company.
Sentinel Building Systems was acquired by GLOBAL Industries, Inc. in June 2000. At that time, GLOBAL Industries, headed by Virgil Eihusen, was actively looking for a steel building manufacturer to add to its other divisions: MFS/York/Stormor, Global Wastewater Systems, and Brownie Systems. Since 2000, GLOBAL has rounded out its presence by acquiring two additional companies, Nebraska Engineering Company and Hutchinson/Mayrath/Terra Track.
Sentinel showed growth once again in 2006, with the addition of a second manufacturing facility located in Wynne, AR. This southern plant will allow for an expanded presence in the southern marketplace. With more than 250 dealers nationwide, Sentinel is quickly becoming a full service leader in steel building manufacturing.
Larry Ruffner, General Manager, attributes continued success to “our dedicated employees and our strong dealer network.” He also points to the company's ability to “satisfy customers with commitment to quality and value.”
Sentinel Building Systems prides itself on unmatched customer service and pride in workmanship. The steadily growing company is pleased to announce its 20-year anniversary. For more information on the company or its building lines, please contact Sentinel Building Systems at 800.327.0790
